Try Something New
This a list of a bunch of scattered ideas my brain has generated to find or start a reason to do something new. Hopefully this list will help or begin to find new things you can do as well to do in your life.
• plant a garden
• delete or inactivate social media for a day, week, or month
• tell someone how you really feel (try to keep this positive)
• try a new or different type of food you wouldn’t normally order
• meditate
• draw with chalk
• do something special for someone, just because
• sing out loud publicly
• play a new video game
• go bird watching
• get a psychic reading
• go star gazing
• get a haircut
• drink a beverage with a straw
• don’t wear makeup for a day
• go to a park you’ve never been to before
• cook/bake/make something new for breakfast, lunch or dinner
• get your nails done
• rearrange the furniture in your house
• go bowling
• dye your hair
• forgive someone
• learn to drive stick shift in a car
• surprise a friend
• wear different colored socks
• use markers instead of colored pencils
• use a different ingredient and apply it to whatever food you’re eating
• make a scrapbook
• take a yoga class
• make a vision board
• take a different route to get to where you would like to go
• have someone else drive instead of you driving everywhere
• go laser tagging
• instead of driving, try an uber, taxi, subway anything different than the normal
• jog instead of walking or vice versa
• get a massage
• enjoy the exercise and not just finish it to get it done
• bicycle riding
• rollerblading or roller-skating
• try a different exercise machine
• take an exercise class that you’ve never done before
• go bungee jumping
• go to a store you’ve never been inside
• play a new board game
• try on clothing you wouldn’t normally try
• compliment a stranger
• go kayaking or canoeing
• look in a department that isn’t something you tend to venture too
• ride a motorcycle
• juggle
• accept your strengths flaws and love yourself
• go fishing
• learn a new language
• play tennis
• volunteer at a hospital or an organization
• create art out of things you would normally throw away
• go skydiving
• recycle plastic water bottles
• read a book
• try something vegetarian or vegan
• donate your clothes that you don’t wear anymore but hold onto
• play bad mitten
• paint on a canvas
• go on a camping trip
• make a bucket list
• donate food to those who need it
• have a campfire
