Attack on Titan

Attack on Titan involves the story of Eren Yeager. The show revolves around a society living within three large circular walls. It is believed by the people, known as Eldians, that these walls are all that remain of humanity. Over a century ago, a race of humanoid giants known as Titans appeared, attacking and devouring humans on sight, which nearly led to the extinction of mankind. As a result, the survivors retreated behind the protective walls and lived in peace for about 100 years. Inside the walls, the idea of leaving is strongly discouraged. To fight against the Titans, the military uses Vertical Maneuvering Equipment (VME), also known as Omni-Directional Maneuvering Gear (ODM Gear). This technology features waist-mounted grappling hooks and gas-powered propulsion for three-dimensional movement. Soldiers use ultra-tough steel swords with the gear, and later, they develop powerful weapons called Thunder Spears, similar to rocket launchers.

One such Parasite tries to enter Shinichi's nose while he's asleep, but he wakes up just in time. The creature then burrows into his arm instead. In the Japanese version, the Parasite takes control of his right hand and is named Migi, after the Japanese word for "right."

Tokyo Ghoul

Tokyo Ghoul is set in an alternate reality where ghouls, beings who resemble humans but can only survive by consuming human flesh, coexist secretly among the human population. To avoid detection and persecution by authorities, they conceal their true nature. Ghouls possess extraordinary abilities, such as enhanced strength, speed, endurance, and regenerative powers. Their muscles generate 4–7 times more kinetic energy than those of regular humans, and they have elevated levels of RC cells—specialized cells that flow like blood but can solidify instantly. A ghoul's skin is highly resistant to ordinary piercing weapons, and each ghoul has at least one unique predatory organ called a Kagune, which can be manifested and used as a weapon in combat. Another defining characteristic of ghouls is their kakugan ("red eye"), a mutation where the sclera of their eyes turns black and the irises red when they are hungry or emotionally agitated.

However, with the decline in romance between men and women, which is linked to a decreasing birthrate, Riri is sent to help Anzu experience real-life love by offering her a group of handsome "ikemen" to choose from. Despite Anzu's complete disinterest in romance, Riri confiscates her "three greatest desires"—her video games, her favorite chocolates, and her beloved cat, Momohiki—and sets up a series of shōjo manga-like scenarios to push Anzu into romantic situations. Reluctantly, Anzu agrees to play along with Riri's "game," hoping to trick Riri into giving up and returning her possessions. She plans to avoid any romantic situations at all costs to return to her normal life. However, as Anzu interacts with the potential love interests, she starts to form real connections with them, making it harder to protect them from Riri's manipulative schemes while navigating her own growing feelings.
